1. Chongqing Travelling With Hostel – Also known as Chongqing Green Forest Hostel

A very modern hostel right in the city centre of Chongqing called Jiefangbei. The Chongqing Travelling With Hostel is located on the 4th floor in one of the many skycrapers in Jiefangbei. It’s a 5-minute walk from Chongqing’s dancing clubs and bars, so the night life is not far away. The hostel was called Chongqing Green Forest Hostel before, but in 2015 it changed its name into Chongqing Travelling With Hostel.

Restaurants, ATM, banks and shopping malls are close to the hostel. The metro entrance is on the opposite of the hostel building, just cross the street. Since last year (2015) the hostel is also recommend as a top hostel by Lonely Planet.

2. Yangtze River International Youth Hostel

The Yangtze River International Youth Hostel is located a bit further from the city centre in compare to the Green Forest Hostel. The Yangtze River International Youth Hostel is as its name shows, located at the banks of the Yangtze River. From the hostel to the city centre is only a 10-minute walk. Yangtze River cruiseboats depart closely from the hostel. In 2008 it was the first hostel in Chongqing.
